I love that it’s a 7th generation hotel. I was in Zeven to discover my ancestry & meet family I never knew I had. It warms me to know that the original owners almost certainly knew my family.

This hotel seems to be only partly open in January. That's their prerogative, but they should make that clear when people book. We arrived to a locked door with our room key taped to a window and the pre-booked food was not there - apparently because an email about it had not been received. Fortunately we could look after ourselves, but it was disappointing after a long drive.
