Beautifully presented rooms, dining area etc. V clean. Friendly staff. Rooms were large and comfortable. Breakfast was very healthy and lots of it. Limited hot food but not an issue.
Pension info informs you of church bells - but 6am long dongs and then quiet until 9am! Quiet small village with few eateries but great for access to Forest and surrounding locations. Natural swim lake up the road. Parking and sauna (extra charge) available.

The place exceeds my expectations. Being a international the host was really amazing to us. Food was mind blowing. The hospitality, food, the room was cozy and just perfect. This place is always have my heart. They are a nice, good hearted and generous people and they came out of their way to help us. I always remember Gasthaus zum Kreuz and definitely will go there again.
The location, building, and staff were amazing. The hotel is a traditional Black Forrest house but the installations are relatively modern and, more importantly, very clean! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is served as a buffet and it has choices for everyone: homemade bread, homemade jams, muesli, juices, etc. The sauna area was also very nice: modern installations with a relaxing outside area with view to the surrounding fields.
The bar is very cozy and has very friendly staff, ate one dinner here and both me and my co worker enjoyed the food very much. TIP: Reserver a spot if you wanna eat here, we almost didn't get a spot at the restaurant when we came.
The breakfast didn't have a massive selection of food but it was good enough!
The hotel itself stands out as pretty new with nice interior. The free 2x beer and water that is restocked every day was a nice bonus!
