The location of the property was really very good, ten minutes walk to the castle.
Castle is absolute must. It is breathtaking (both views and stairs). Tour is 3 times to fast, but on the other hand, for a architecture/history nerd (like me) 4 hours would still be not be enough. Tourists didn't yet trample every corner of this medieval town, so you can enjoy cold beer and tasty goulash in peace.

The property is located basically “under” the Karlstejn castle. Restaurant attached to the property offered nice dishes for reasonable price. The guy who took care of us (accommodated us and served us at the restaurant) was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok.
Small but comfortable, very authentic pension in the forest close to Karlstejn castle. Breakfast was served with a twist - daily changing e.g. omelette, eggs, pastries. Very friendly owner. The hikes in the area e.g. Sväty Jan, Vel'ka Amerika were very enjoyable.
