Enough space for four people, everything necessary was present, the place is neat and clean and the price is reasonable.
Castle is absolute must. It is breathtaking (both views and stairs). Tour is 3 times to fast, but on the other hand, for a architecture/history nerd (like me) 4 hours would still be not be enough. Tourists didn't yet trample every corner of this medieval town, so you can enjoy cold beer and tasty goulash in peace.

Great location, next to the river . We stayed in an executive room, and the room was spacious and comfortable and there was a mosquito window. It had airconditioning. Staying near the river and surrounded by a lot of green, the mosquito window was very welcome. The hotel had asked us to change our dates, and because of that, there was a present waiting in our room. The zoo is next door. The walk from the train station Karlstejn to the hotel is around 1 km, but is is a nice walk. There are parking spaces at the hotel.
Perfect location in the middle of the main street leading up to the castle which was perhaps 500m. The room was spacious with a separate bedroom for our children. Everywhere was clean, it smelt nice and the restaurant at the hotel has a nice outside terrace.
It is located in a peaceful village, 12 mins walk to the train, just around the corner there is the Karlštejn castle. The breakfast is a privilege, cause there is not much shops around. Room is clean, well designed, even though our room is not big.
