Lies: the initial room we booked was not what we received. Travelers beware! When we upgraded (for a lot more money), the new room was very modern and high class despite the entrance door not locking, no hot water, a smell of moldy mildew, and a sleazy staff. Some staff members however were very nice, the room was very modern and high end, and the decor was on par (again, this was all for an additional cost -40USD).

The grounds and area were beautiful pool areas and walking paths amazing. Breakfast was typical Tico Breakfast, which was OK. The bartender server was amazing and very helpful.

How thankful we are to have selected Cecropia for our first three nights in Costa Rica, although it’s hard to imagine we could match it anywhere else!
The peace and quiet amongst the lush rainforest is therapeutic in itself but, added to that, the interaction with our hosts, Nohelia and Jay, made it so much more interesting and enjoyable. Nohelia is very knowledgeable about all the incredible birds that visit, not just in the mornings, but throughout the day. Jay was our guide for a night walk which was fascinating.
The many trails are well kept and the breakfast and dinners were healthy and delicious.
