This was the very first time to Costa Rica and even though we only had a day and a half to stay there due to business we enjoyed our stay the hotel was amazing it was in a good location. The correspondence prior to our arriving was absolutely excellent. They arranged for us to have a shuttle pick up at the airport and delivered us back to the airport Henry at the front desk and Melanie at the kitchen shall I say we're excellent everyone spoke very good English and they were very helpful for anything and everything we needed.

The property is small set in a garden with trees and flowers. The room had a shady porch outside with seating. The property had loaner umbrellas which i thought a nice touch, since we are in the rainy season. I was given the WhatsApp for Emanuel should i need anything, and he was able to book me a shuttle to San Jose on my last day. Paula the housekeeper and the gardener, whose name i forgot, were accommodating. Everyone made me feel at home.
Downtown and the beach are easy walking distances from the hotel.

We liked Tamarindo Beach, the people are helpful and very nice. The market place was great on Saturday. The food was good. We went fishing and the only boat to catch fish. I caught Red Snapper and Spotted Mackerel. A few bone fish. Walter's cooked our catch and we did happy hour there. They have a Howling Monkey that comes to visit every night. There was plenty of shopping for the ladies. We also visited Flamingo Beach, less going on there.

Favela Chic is in a great location within walking distance ( or free bicycle ride) to Tamarindo. Close to great restaurants, the beach and shops. Very friendly people with most of them able to speak English or direct me to someone who could. Would like to return soon.

Very nice small town feel. Really enjoyed the restaurants. It was very hot in early April when we visited. End of the dry season so but lush at all. Everything is within walking distance. Go check out the zoo there. If you can get a car go visit Lola's which is a 40 min drive away. No one there on that beach.
Massages on the beach are inexpensive and worth it. Renting beach loungers are cheap with unbrella. Some restaurants on the beach have them too. Lots of restaurants along the beach.

Great small surf town, with everything you need within short walking distance. Variety of cuisine with Happy Hour offers (take them as food is pricey here). We mostly ate at "Soda" restaurant (any spot with Soda means it's local food). Fire throwers perform nightly around center of the beach. Tip them, it is amazing what they can do. River Boat tour showed us mangrove vegetation, crocodiles and iguanas. Blue Dolphin sunset sailing was super fun, check the wind report before booking. Horseback riding available at the beach, I'd recommend morning time when tide is low. Sand is pack then and beach is wide for them to walk on. Sun is sneaky here and you can burn easily, so be careful.

I love love love Tamarindo! I've actually been looking non-stop at properties to see if there is a place I'd like to live. It's unlikely that I will move there permanently, but I'd love to have a little place to be able to visit once in awhile!
We never been in such a great Hotel.
Such a nice personnel that goes above and beyond what could be expected.
Everyday we have been looking forward to the next breakfast which was aswell by far the best we ever had.
It is situated in a calm area but not too far from the center of tamarindo and directly on the beach with a beautiful set up.
The rooms are really nice and have an outdoor shower which wad perfect with the weather.
Great, small hotel, a bit further from the loud crowds but still close enough to beach and all other amenities. Comfortable and very relaxing stay. Super helpful owner who helped us with all our questions and even gave us tips on the rest of our trip in Costa Rica! Breakfast was simply, but very delicious and on par with other similar hotel / BnB breakfasts we had in Costa Rica (if not even better).
