We arrived late after a long day of travel with two children. We had been traveling throughout Costa Rica for the past week and were looking for a place to stay after leaving Jaco and within an hour of San Jose Airport. Everyone was very friendly, hospitable and welcoming. The food was delicious. Service was great. Our room was was quaint, clean and relaxing. Needed a few extra blankets for the children and they were more than happy to get those for us. Room and especially the Bathroom was very nice and clean. We wish we could have arrived earlier to enjoy the pool during the day and maybe stayed and extra day. The sharp left turn getting off the road from Jaco, threw us off a bit, but trust your Waze app. Hotel Colinas is tucked away in a cozy little spot with nice grounds with plants and trees. We would like to say thank you to the folks there with our late evening dinner.

The room is basic but complete. It has a sink, cooking range, refrigerator, TV with cable or apps, ceiling fan, terrace with hammock and table/chairs. The view was fantastic and the room was private. The owner is wonderful. She was very welcoming and helped us order food delivery our first night. The breakfast was delicious. And the view at breakfast is breathtaking. The common areas are decorated very pretty. The pool was great! Granted we had it all to ourselves. Recommend this hotel for relaxation away from people.

We were able to request and purchase a bottle of red wine from the host when we arrived, as there were no stores in the near vicinity. We received a full breakfast at our casita the morning after, which was wonderful. Fruit, juice, coffee, eggs, cheese, meat and breads for a fair charge. Bed was comfortable and facility clean. The property is on a large lot with chickens, mature trees and very tranquil; hosts are warm and friendly.

Close to the airport, a great dip in the pool, a delicious breakfast, a responsive and welcoming host...we couldn't have asked for more! The host even helped us order late night pizza since we got into San Jose a bit late. We all agreed that upon returning to Costa Rica, we will definitely always land at Uruka Lodge!

Atenas is a beautiful town in the low mountains of central Costa Rica. The climate is moderate and dry. The town is very authentic and on Sundays you can find many families in the Central Park enjoying family time. The best part is that Atenas is not overrun with tourists. Definitely one of my favourite spots in the country and I have visited ma y areas of Costa Rica.

Cute small town. Lovely to walk from the hotel to town. There are some hills so good if you like to walk. Good to ask about restaurants or where to get good coffee. There is great coffee from Holland and sweets ay the south corner of the park & a place called Tica cafe looked good but it was closed.Weather was warm but there was a nice breeze. Lots of laces to get groceries. Very helpful people !

It's an interesting area if you are adventurous in your driving habits. The weather can make for disappointing outdoor afternoons but the views from up in the clouds at Barons are great - if and when they clear !

This is the town that we have chosen to spend our retirement in. It has all that a small town can offer including good restaurants and very friendly people. its proximity to many of Costa Ricas attractions makes it an ideal place to use as a starting point for many adventures. less than an hour to downtown San Jose, the beach, Poas volcano, and many more fun places.

Atenas is a quiet small town know for having the best climate in the world. It is an easy drive from the airport, yet away from the hustle-bustle. It does help to speak Spanish, as many of the locals do not speak English.
Property itself is beautiful. The common areas are lovely and the pools are amazing. Everything is immaculate.
Despite being rushed off their feet, the two guys running the bar/ restaurant were extremely nice.
The chap who gave us a tour of the hotel on arrival was really nice and helpful.
There are lots of animals that live in and around the hotel - really fun to see peacocks and coati’s just wandering around.
Despite the newest reviews we decided to stay at this Hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the views were amazing!
In our room the hot shower worked perfectly and the bed was comfortable.
There were a few ants but I didn’t stay at any place in Costa Rica where I did not find a few ants.
Yes, the property would need some updates and a bit better cleaning.
We felt comfortable, thanks!
Very quiet and quaint little hotel with separated private rooms. Great value for the money. Nice views. A little far from the center of Atenas, but you can’t have it all! Breakfast was delicious.
The Eden Atenas Guesthouse had a beautiful garden and a wonderful swimming pool. The breakfast was very good and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
