Nanshan cultural center was good. The beaches are clean. Not too great. Views from the beaches are not that great. Probably is an ideal place to spend a couple of days in the beach and go around hiking for another 2- 3 days. Did not find anything extraordinary for what was projected about the place before I travelled. The weather during my stay( early November) was excellent. The jogging tack along the beach is another thing which is a great plus for early morning walkers. The Go-Mart stores has few restaurants near to the Hotel I stayed. Not a great place to do shopping either.

A tropical city resort that caters almost exclusively for Chinese domestic tourism, plus a few Russians. There's a wide selection of luxury hotels but not much to do apart from relax by the pool, shop at a mall and eat at Chinese restaurants. Yalong Bay is prettier than Sanya Bay.
For your money you will get better value and service in Southeast Asian destinations like Thailand and Vietnam and Bali. But if you like seafood and speak Chinese you'll enjoy it.

Rent the electric scooter in front of CFC from private individuals on the street for only 60 rmb per day, you can move around easily, and visit all the famous beaches, markets, shopping centers, night clubs... to do, the roads are beautiful, without potholes and with preferential lane.

Sanya is a fantastic tropical break for people in China, especially those living in the North who need some quick relief. However, the general consensus is that Sanya does not offer quite the same 'holiday experience' as destinations in other South East Asian countries, so although Sanya is perfect for a quick break, if you find you have a longer vacation then it might be worth heading a touch further afield.

Sanya is the main tourist hot spot on Hainan Island.
Sanya is the main tourist hot spot on Hainan Island. But still it doesn't feel overcrowded. The City is is very clean, offers a wide range of restaurants bars and accomodation. Besides beach activities the nature is stunning and you can go on hikking tours. You can get your scuba dicing certificate as well, several diving centers are offering courses and some fun dicing.

Yalong bay provided a beautiful beach with many activities available. Sadly there was no lifestyle on the beach (restaurants and bars, shops etc). Making dining and evenings a bit boring. Also, bear in mind Sanya is huge, making it a big distance to go anywhere. City center is 40 to 60 minutes away by car as is Sanya bay and Haitang bay so its very isolated.

After arriving at the hotel, the staff came out to take the room, very good, the room is spacious, there are kitchen toiletries, the cleaning aunt will come to clean the room every other day, and
replenish the supplies, the nearby beach is very delicate, very quiet, the sea is blue, ten minutes walk past, the service is great
Comfortable hotel and not far from the sea (5 minutes walk). Nearby is all the necessary infrastructure of the bay
On New Year's Eve, the hotel was actually only populated by Russians. For some, it was a plus, for others, it was a significant minus, considering how much Russians drink on holidays :)
Very green hotel, like a tropical park. If want to save some money during long-time stay --- can chose this hotel. But it is ok for those, who do not stay in room all the time. Better to spend all the time on the beach or travel around, and only come back for rest.
Location was great. The hotel had a very useful and free scooter charging station. the bed was unbelievably comfortable, not an easy thing to find in China!
