It was a unique experience. Lake General Carrera is a wonderful body of water and our yurta was at the lake shore with snow capped mountains on the other side of the lake. Well equipped room and despite being a yurta the hot water delivery was almost instantaneous. Great breakfast with great views.

We spent one night here on our way back up the Carretera Austral. It was difficult to find the hostal due to road work going on in front and all over the little town, but once we were settled in the accommodation was fine. The room was spacious, the shower had plenty of hot water, and the bed was very comfortable. There was a heater in the room if needed overnight. The hosts (especially the mother) were so very helpful. The breakfast (including the coffee) was excellent. We would certainly stay here again if in the area.
We liked everything, the accommodation, the landscape, the meals and our host, Pablo, was the best host ever. He cooked some amazing food for us and he helped us with everything we needed. The houses are located in a fairy tale place and they check and clean daily the accommodation. We really felt like home and we hope to come back. If we come back in Puerto Guadal for sure, we will stay in the same place. Thank you Pablo, to you and your wife!
Very friendly hosts and amazing food. And the location is beautiful! Great views and awesome things to do in every direction from Puerto Guadal. As a bonus - fresh firewood and kindling for the stove each night makes for a very cozy cabin.
