Very good place to visit situated nearby Conguillio National Park, but also Icalma area (and probably some more). Small, peaceful city having all you need, including tourist agencies which can arrange your time as you wish.

Fantastic location - definitely would stay again
My room had a great view of the waterfall. Room and bathroom were very clean.
Sitting in the patio swing in the afternoon sun with sights and sounds of the waterfalls was very relaxing.
Gracias to the staff, who went out of their way to make me feel comfortable.
The location is remote, and the security features are therefore appropriate. Some prior reviews complain about the gate to the property being locked at night, but fail to mention that the room key comes with a clicker for the automatic gate, so they could have gotten out at any time.

Melipeuco is a very small town, the trips around it are awesome. You need a car, better a 4 x 4. Trekkings are great, I went to spend a day at the beach at Lago Icalma, beautiful. Conguillio is a national park , incredible place.
Food at Sueños de Montaña was great.
