The cabin is clean, has most of the appliances you need, the beds are comfy and the bathroom was clean. However, the pans need to be replaced, they are worn out. Also, there wasn't any salt but old leftovers like a bag of flour and yerva mate tea.

This is a town struggling to recover from the 2008 eruption and succeeding in welcoming travelers to the mountain trails and beaches. Full of fascinating local restos and bars. Haven for backpackers. Awesome setting and warm friendly people.

Right by the beach, yet tucked away in the forest - the best of everything. We saw seals, swans, penguins and dolphins close to the shore minutes after arriving. We were simply stopping over for one (very wet) night in Chaitén before catching a ferry, but Hector - our host - was so welcoming, lit a fire and made the cabin super cozy. It turned into one of our most memorable stays. Thank you!
We booked after arriving Chaiten but the owner immediately contacted us through whatsapp with the precise location. It is like renting the whole property and the comfortness and design/atmosphere was beyond our expectations! Nice living room with a sofa and stove. We felt like home and loved it so much.
