Very good hotel, great location, just 15 minutes by train from Zermatt.
A small, quiet alpine village. It is an deal base for visiting the Charles Kuonen bridge, currently the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in the world. A circular hiking route begins near the church. It's is also convenient for visiting car-free Zermatt with its beautiful views of the Matterhorn. It is much cheaper to stay here than in Zermatt and trains run frequently from the village.

The flat is located in Randa, down the valley from Zermatt. This means that everything is accessible but you do not have the noise and bustle of Zermatt, this was good for us. Public transport is brilliant, you can buy a multi day pass at Randa that covers most journeys on the trains and cable cars. The flat is spotlessly clean, stylish and with great facilities. I loved the sunny balcony with Mountain View’s after a days walking.
It's a family-owned and -run small hotel with a really good price-performance value. Our expectations were not high at all considering the affordable price of the room, but the service exceeded our expectations, to be honest. The rooms are small and the furniture was a bit old and worn but everything was clean. Getting around and to Zermatt was affordable and very easy thanks to the shuttle taxis they arrange at the hotel.
The owner of the hotel very generously upgraded our room to include a kitchen so we could prepare hot food in the morning. The side door in our hotel also opened straight out into the snow so we had a nice view. It is located next to trh train station which is very convenient for catching the train straight to Zermatt.
