We chose this hotel due to the close proximity to the Christmas Markets. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful during our stay. The rooms were very comfortable and nice size. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast and the location was perfect for all the major attractions. Not far from train station (we walked from station to hotel, all downhill) but take the funicular or bus, much easier. Right across the street was the boat shuttle taking you to different points of interest. Must do!

I think of out of all the places i travelled in Switzerland; this was my favourite. So alive. Great sunshine and amazing views of the lake.
The morning was a little crisper weather but by afternoon it was fine.
I enjoyed staying here during the winter months as there were less crowds. Less cost for hotels. If you don’t mind cooler weather you can definitely have a great time. Food was delicious. Great people and very safe. Enjoyed viewing some of the older churches and art work throughout the city centre area.

We stayed for one night in between Lucerne and Lake Como.
We stayed for one night in between Lucerne and Lake Como. It was a nice break for our trip, and easy to walk around and see the town in just one day. The town is all downhill from the train, so be prepared to walk up and down hills / steps. It’s easy going and lots of little restaurants, cafes, and shopping. The lake and scenery was beautiful, but not sure I would stay for more than a day or so.

5 minutes from Lugano train station and importantly the Città–Stazione funicular railway that runs up and down the mountainside to the city centre near the lake. We didn't take the hotel breakfast prefering to eat in the many bars and cafes in the city centre. Although the Hotel breakfast was considerably cheaper.
Typical chain hotel so you know what you get. Breakfast was excellent. The cost was a little high but Switzerland is expensive and this was a great location.
