We enjoyed the beautiful mountain setting and views from our little patio outside our room. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable with all the amenities we needed. The bedding was clean and cozy and the room was quiet. The spa and wellness center was an amazing spot to relax and unwind after a busy day of travel. So peaceful. We enjoyed the lovely free breakfast in the morning.
We only stayed one night, after taking the Bernina Express from Tirano to Chur, but it was just what we needed to recoup and be ready to travel again.

You get a great value for sure. Easy parking. For just an overnight stay - go for it. It has a bit strange of a vibe as it is some sort of ex-medical facility. Makes you think about later years of your life. Saying that, there was no better price in the area. Views are great. We did not go for dinner or breakfast, did not feel like it so cant comment on that. There were groups of children staying but thankfully not on our floor do it did not really bother us.
Opposite the road there is an "outlet" shop for some local Bresaola factory with great prices.

Good location, not far from the train station. The hotel is clean. I booked a room with a shared bathroom, which is sufficient and comfortable. And most importantly, the hotel has given a Chur guest card, which can be used to travel for free in the area. Very worth it.

We loved the central location and old world feel of the hotel. We loved the breakfast and dining areas. The beds were so comfortable and the room was very clean. The main " front of house person "who also helped out with breakfast and carried our bags up for us was so accomodating and lovely. A lovely experience in Chur.

An excellent experience overall.The room was small but very, very clean, and everything worked. The staff was charming, especially at dinner, making sure we got a reservation and going out of their way to make sure we had a lovely dinner. The location is also excellent, right in the heart of the Altstadt. We look forward to visiting again.

It was a lovely propetty on the easy to access location. Clean and well equipped- it was first time in my 30 years of renting where property was equipped with sharp knives. The owner was very good with communication over the mail and was quick to respond. Churwalden is a small place with stores and all you need is close to your hand. Property is a kilometer away from the elevator, but you can store your equipment at the locker and walking would not be an issue. There is good connectivity with Chur and PostAuto goes twice an hour.
This hotel has a storied past, the very lovely manager explaining all about this hotel...and she couldnt have been more helpful. This hotel will suit all kinds of travelers...families, couples etc. Its location is close to Chur, but in its own village.
What a lovely hotel. As soon as you walk in, you can feel the warm and relaxing atmosphere. Everything is done with care and to a high standard. The staff are very professional and friendly at the same time.
