The location was spot on. In a part of St Catherine's near bars, restaurants, shops and cafes, plus right on the lake. We received complimentary snacks and water. Good wifi too! Very close to Niagara Falls, too.

Vacation paradise, hotel in St. Catharines

Set in St. Catharines, 18 km from Niagara Falls Train Station and 19 km from Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort, Vacation paradise offers a garden and air conditioning.

The rental house was very spacious, very clean, nicely decorated and nicely furnished. All the appliances (cooker, fridge, washing machine etc) were top quality models. Small touches - all the things like loo rolls and hand soap were all provided along with coffee. The house was in a very peaceful quiet area. Absolutely no problems with noise in the evenings. Plenty of parking space too (room for 3 cars in the driveway).

I find St Catharine is close enough to the falls, shopping at the outlet, wine tours without the extra costs. And St Catharine is close to Port Dalhousie and other attraction's in the area. It is worth to stay there and do a little driving to visit a lot of the areas.

St. Cathartines is a quaint city surrounded by beautiful hills and greenery. The people are very friendly. We enjoyed an afternoon of kayaking on the Martindale Pond. Port Dalhousie is a nice neighborhood with many cafes and restaurants. Shopping and wineries are nearby.

Great area to explore if you're visiting Niagara Falls.

Great area to explore if you're visiting Niagara Falls. Tons of wineries around (we partook of a flight & popcorn at Henry of Pelham), farm stands (Promistery is a must), easy hikes, hanging on the southern shores of Lake Ontario. Port Dalhousie is quaint. Patio Andaluz, the Mexican joint serves a kickin' pitcher of Sangria and excellent chocolaty mole.

We were there for a concert - less than 24 hours. However, I've never been to St. Catharines and thought it was much larger, and pleasantly surprised it was not. We were only at the hotel and the Meridian Centre to see Chris de Burgh - which was really wonderful! We did spend the afternoon in Niagara on the Lake. A Twenty minute drive to world class theatre, a charming downtown filled with unique shops and restaurants. The scent of fresh baked goodies and chocolate permeated the air.

Not a whole lot in St.

Not a whole lot in St. Catherines itself for me but it is not far from Niagara Falls, Niagara on the Lake, wine country, micro breweries, the highway to Hamilton, Toronto, Niagara etc. I really do not do much right in St. Catherines but there are a few good restaurants and decent malls. It’s in a great location for access to sone great areas and attractions.

The gym facilities are not typical of hotel gyms - it is a full-fledge health club available to hotel guest. Awesome. I was provided with texting contact for the front desk, and used it to request the printing of a document for my meeting the next day. I was provided with an email address to send the document to, and the document was printed free of charge within five minutes. Awesome.
