Home2 Suites By Hilton Kingston, hotel in Kingston

Located 5.2 km from Queen's University, Home2 Suites By Hilton Kingston offers 3-star accommodation in Kingston and features a fitness centre, a garden and a restaurant.

The accommodation for mobility challenged visitors was great. Safety grab bars were excellent. But there were not towel rails anywhere especially near the tub. Walking could result with water dripping on the floor and an accidental fall. A how to use the shower controls would have been appreciated.

Visitors may not be welcomed in the winter.

Visitors may not be welcomed in the winter. All I have encountered was unfriendliness. I asked one employee at Via Rail station where to buy a bus card. She rolled her eyes on me and said I DON’T KNOW. I broke my toe nails, my cellphone’s signal was poor in the suburbs, so I asked a person where is the pharmacy, he said: So, you are from China? I’m not sure why you are here visiting. Tourists attractions are closed. I got kicked off the bus because I don’t have bus card, walked to Cataraqui Mall with my broken toe nails, I couldn’t find the small and unattractive “service desk” where bus cards are sold, I asked a Tim Horton’s employee (with purchase of an iced coffee), they said Oh it’s just around the corner. The Google Reviews of some restaurants being r*cist are real.

I can see that Kingston is a little underrated.

I can see that Kingston is a little underrated. We found the place to be a little undiscovered gem. The outskirts of the town have obviously suffered from rapid growth to fill overspill/commuters from Ottawa, but downtown is lovely, especially by the harbour.

We enjoyed the boat tour was amazing to see so many islands with beautiful homes and was a fair price for the tour. The penatentry tour was very educational and awesome to have guards share their stories on the tour that were there for 30 years .The hop on hop off tour was educational learning so many things of buildings and and famous people fair price also. Beautiful and very friendly people and respectful drivers in busy downtown area. Very nice not to see homeless on streets downtown busy areaand them.having their own area and some with jobs people shared.Very beautiful town hall and very clean all together Will recommend for others to visit Kingston. Restaurants were awesome and friendly staff and many to choose from for all desires of food. Will visit again to explore many more exciting tours and entertainment

Our daughter goes to Queens University.

Our daughter goes to Queens University. We were very happy she chose Queens because the city feels safe. Unfortunately, like every other city, the homeless population has become an issue and she feels less safe due to the open drug use and mental health issues of the unhoused.

A friendly casual township, pleasant waterfront with a selection of good reasonably priced restaurants. An excellent supermarket (Metro) is not too far away, ten to fifteen minute walk. When we were there on a Thursday evening there was a open air free family movie.

I had booked an accessible room for my stay. The room was very spacious, including the bathroom. The room was very accessible in all areas. My friend and I previously stayed at a hotel that claimed to be accessible by just throwing a komode over the toilet. This room was fully accessible beyond what we experienced at a different hotel in the past. We only spent one night after attending a concert in the city. But we are planning to come back in the future when we come to Kingston.
