Had a car breakdown on holiday. Called the hotel to let them know I wasn't going to be able to make it. Asked if there was a reduced charge by chance. Her response was, no charge at all. We can't charge people who have had their car breakdown. They didn't have to do that, but they did and when I make my tour through B.C. again, I will be stopping here.

The front desk clerk was very polite and accommodating. Nicely upgraded decor, since our last visit a few years ago.
The bartender in the lounge was friendly and helpful with our cocktail selections in the afternoon, and remembered 6s when we returned in the evening fir a nightcap! Great, relaxing patio vibe, with fire tables.

Genelle is really a suburb of Trail…halfway between Castlegar and Trail, so there are no facilities there. You have to go into either town…Trail is a little closer… if you wish to eat at a restaurant. We ate at the golf course, food was good.
