Beautiful location with a quaint home. The atmosphere was lovely and just as I imagined. I felt very welcomed and loved hearing about the local information from the hosts. They were lovely and very good cooks!

This charming village is a perfect location to explore west side of the Cabot Trail, among many the Skyline trail. There are several good restaurants (a bit $$) and a lovely Cafe (Marguerite). Like all over in Nova Scotia, people are welcoming and friendly.

Cheticamp is a cute town that is pretty small.
Cheticamp is a cute town that is pretty small. Try to find live fiddling music, which we did at Doryman's Pub. The area is also known for rug hooking and there are two shops that specialize in those products. There are a couple of cute restaurants that offer good food, the Seagull being one.

A number of good restaurants.
A number of good restaurants. Local people very helpful and friendly. Gorgeous area including many sites outside of the nearby National Park. Local sites include Gypsum Lake, Cheticamp Island ( causeway access). Harbour Restaurant and Seafood Stop good - plain and simple good Pizza - Pizza Shack - liked veggie explosion. Mr Chicken great for ice cream - only tried the ice cream - small was bigger than we expected. Abundant attractions beyond town.

We enjoyed a visit to the Folk Cafe which was very relaxing.
We enjoyed a visit to the Folk Cafe which was very relaxing. Found inability to walk alongside waterfront frustrating. We visited Cheticamp solely to have a whale watching trip with Captain Zodiac which was extremely enjoyable and successful. We drove part of The Cabot Trail which was OK but we are so used to beautiful scenery at home in Cornwall and Wales, that we did not think the scenery that interesting. Now that we have had our whale watching trip, we would not re-visit.

This is an excellent stopping point on Cabot Trail.
This is an excellent stopping point on Cabot Trail. Good little town, with a few restaurants and boat adventure company. Steeped in French Acadian culture, it's like visiting France and Quebec all at once. Cheticamp is very close to several points of interest on Cabot Trail: famous Skyline Trail, a few other hikes, and good beaches.

A vibrant French Canadian fishing community with very friendly people, great food, be sure to check out Aucoin Bakery where the goods are fresh and you get a lot of bang for your buck. Spectacular scenery bit on the Cavity Trail and ask the locals how to get to the Gypsum Mine which is abandoned but a great spot to go swimming. The sunsets we saw where beautiful. Make your way to the lighthouse on Cheticamp Island at sunset. You won't be disappointed.

The location of Cornerstone is perfect in it is located at the entrance to Cape Breton Highlands National Park. The room was clean and spacious and offered everything we needed. The property is managed by the owners who are exceptional; they were friendly and offered so many great recommendations on restaurants, bakery and sites to visit in the area. I would highly recommend this hotel.
- Nice clean suites that appear to have been updated in the last few years compared to other hotels/inns in the area. We booked 3 rooms and each had a mini fridge and microwave.
- Fast and friendly check-in inside the restaurant on the main floor.
- We wanted to try the restaurant here but checked-in too late after hiking the Skyline trail,
Welcome message from Michelle when I booked the accommodation. Super-friendly. High quality rooms. Quiet location - not as in the outback as the name suggests. A short drive to Cheticamp waterfront. Diligent attention to detail. There is passion and hard work behind this place.
The room and location were excellent! The was a great place to eat with live entertainment just a walk away! La Gabriel restaurant and lounge. I would highly recommend staying here if you are planning a trip to Cheticamp
