The beds were really comfortable, you could watch Netflix or prime video on the tv so I was able to watch some movies for free, it was the only place I have been too where you could do that, and the bed comforters that they use are really nice it feels more relaxing and feels like home rather then a hotel, really friendly people there!

    Bonavista is stunning.

Bonavista is stunning. We love seeing the puffins at Elliston. We enjoyed the trails at the Dungeon Provincial Park. We even see some whales at shore. We enjoyed the morning visit to The Chimney at Spillars Cove, an UNESCO geosite. Love the seafood (lobster, scallop) there.

Bonavista is a beautiful town with many historical sites to visit and amazing scenery. We had dinner at Skippers restaurant which was great, nice ambiance, and wonderful service. For lunch we ate at the Oceanview - it was located right on the way to the Cape Bonavista lighthouse - good food, great prices, and lovely friendly staff. Bonavista is very easy to navigate and is very walkable with lots of trails. It is also a very convenient place to stay because of its location to other charming villages in the area -like Elliston and Trinity. On my next visit I would like to make my visit longer to allow more time to thoroughly enjoy the natural beauty and local attractions.

    People very friendly….it’s Newfoundland !!

People very friendly….it’s Newfoundland !! Lighthouse a must see. Don’t miss the Puffins at Ellison and Mrs Collins in the store that has everything.. The road to Dungeon is too rough ( enormous potholes) to risk a rental vehicle. Likewise Hwy 237

One night is not enough, we wanted to see as much of Newfoundland as we could, and as such, nowhere did we see all of what we would have loved to see. Were we going to thoroughly explore the area, Russelltown Inn would be the first place we'd look to stay!

We didn't know what to expect when we booked this location and I can tell you that it exceeded our expectation. The location was amazing across the street from the ocean and a very short drive to restaurants. Trails and Cape Bonavista Light house was just a short 5 min drive. The bedroom was beautifully kept and super clean. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you needed to make food. Herb and Janice were always available to answer any questions you had. Thank you Herb and Janice.

After a very long drive to Bonavista, walking into this wonderful house literally re-energized me. Bright and airy with colorful artwork throughout, vintage/ retro furnishings and fittings ... even a turntable and LPs! And you can't beat the location. You are literally a two-minute walk from Church Street (shops, cafés, eateries). A further few minutes will take you to a pond (Old Pond?) with a lovely circular 1km boardwalk where you can 'get in your steps'.

What a fantastic place to stay. Really well thought out rooms that had all that you needed - microwave, kettle and fridge. Nicely decorated room with large bathroom. Everything was tastefully done without any of the fussiness that is so common in hotel decor. The continental breakfast and flask of coffee delivered to the door provided a good start to the day. Alternatively you could use it for a picnic snack whilst hiking or on the road.

Aggie herself - she is a lovely, gracious hostess with many stories about Bonavista and its people. The property is just a 10 minute walk (or short drive) from the port and the excellent Skipper’s Restaurant.
