There was no breakfast included. I guess you could have gone to the restaurant, but we had to leave early the next morning, before the restaurant opened. We did go to the restaurant for dinner, because we arrived late and there weren't really any other options. It was okay, nothing spectacular. However, I'm sure the view was impressive during daylight hours. Dr The staff that checked us in (essentially the restaurant hostess) was lovely and helpful. The room was dated and the electricity a little weird ("make sure the light switch is turned on when you enter because that turns on all the other switches like the TV etc"), but it was clean and comfortable and I'm sure had a lovely view if you were there during the day.

Lovely location, resort with indoor pool, Jacuzzi and sauna. Staff super friendly. The main lobby/restaurant seems new and would recommend staying in that building. The restaurant staff super nice and food is good. Complaints are handled politely and promptly.

Nothing! Didn’t even shower! Cold, dirty, patio door taped with duct tape, mold half way up living room curtains and shower curtain!

For its size, Baddeck really has a lot to offer, with great little restaurants - the High Wheeler Bakery was awesome! They have a place where you can hear authentic Scottish music. They have the Alexander Graham Bell Museum. They are next to the Cabot trail. We used the Tripvia auto tour for the trail and it was so helpful - it played automatically as you approached each area and gave the history and what to watch for at 50 spots along the trail.

This was our second stay in Baddeck. We enjoyed the closeness of being in town. A visit to the Alexander Bell Museum is a must.
The Cabot Trail is a most beautiful place to visit. The views, the hikes, the unique Scottish heritage are all worth the stay!!

Baddeck is an interesting town with many good restaurants and a few shops. We loved the Alexander Graham Bell Museum and attended an interesting play in the little theatre there. We had our best meal in Nova Scotia in the Cable Room at The Telegraph House Motel and loved our breakfasts across the street at the Highwheeler Café. The townspeople were very friendly and the views of the lake are gorgeous.

Baddeck is a really quaint town, full of character and walkable. I recommned visiting here for sure. The harbour is lovely, There are some good restaurants, especially The Telegraph Motel which just provides dinner service. The Alexander Graham Bell Museum is phenomenal. We only stayed one day and one more would have been better to just take it in and relax here.

Baddeck is a quaint and charming town. The museum showcasing Alexander Graham Bell is excellent. The nightly traditional Celtic music concerts are wonderful. The town is a great base for eastern Cape Breton Island and a short drive from North Sydney if you're taking the ferry to Newfoundland.

We took a lake cruise that was enjoyable and informative - highly recommend Amoeba Tours Winstar. Nice marina area and it was lively with boaters & diners. The lake is beautiful! Several restaurants to choose from for dinner at the marina & downtown, and there were options for live music entertainment. Not as much to see as I expected, but it was attractive. The lake cruise made this stop on our way to the Cabot Trail worthwhile.

This was a beautiful setting just 5 mins from Baddeck. Glen and Jan were superb hosts! Made us feel like family in their warm and inviting B&B. The rooms were lovely, the food homemade and delicious, and the other guests friendly and enjoyable to chat with over homemade blueberry pancakes.
The screened in front porch with the swing and cozy chairs with a cup of tea any time of day -evening was wonderful added touch .
Go... Stay .. and enjoy the Cabot trail!
The location and views were fantastic. We were made to feel most welcome by Jeff, and he was full of wonderful information about the area. The rooms were extremely well designed and the bed was so comfortable. We ate breakfast at the Freight Shed, which was amazing. The gallery was a lovely addition and I will definitely be back. Baddeck is the best place to stay in Cape Breton for sure.
Hotel in the Victorian style, old but nice, very courteous staff, booked for two days and had to change rooms after one night, not so good. Unfortunately no breakfast, would be desirable. room clean. Beds very soft and uncomfortable like everywhere in Canada. Clean bathroom.
