Streets full of holes (craters really) sleeping policemen which are incredibly high with no run up or run off (broke my car suspension there). It's just like, all of a sudden, a lump of concrete appears in the middle of the street, Awful, really awful.
Expensive restaurants that serve very average and, sometimes, very poor food, no good, clean supermarkets general lack of shops.
Deplorable health facilities.
Would be much better off in Porto de Galinhas... Tamandaré wishes to compete with Muro Alto or Porto de Galinhas but, currently it's a good 10 years behind both places.

You need a car if you want to go to the city or restaurants...
You need a car if you want to go to the city or restaurants at night. I recommend to you take a hotel with good facilities (restaurant, bar, pool...) so you don't need to go out every night if you wanna have dinner.
Tamandaré is super calm during low season, the beach is amazing, locals are super nice and gentle.
Perfect place to make a family trip.
Great location, right in front of the beach. Both the room and other public areas of the hotel were clean. Some of the staff were really friendly. The pool is also nice. Staff was wearing masks.
Everything was perfect: the staff, the atmosphere, the position. Super clean, good breakfast and perfect price. Can't recommend more to enjoy the quite beach and town of Tamandaré.
The reception staff were very friendly, they were very kind...beautiful beach, warm and transparent waters. Tamandaré and Carneiros beaches are beautiful.
