A wonderful place and a piece of Germany in Brazil. If you like german food and culture, this is the place for you. "Passeio Pomerano" concentrates restaurants and shops and there are other attractions nearby. The "egg tree" is worth a shot, as well as the larger Easter Egg in the world (right next to the tree).
We were lucky (sort of) to travel during "Festival Gastronômico" (by chance) because the main restaurants take their favorite dishes to the stands and you can try any/many of them (if you can!). We were not parricularly fond of "Rota Enxaimel" but downtown Pomerode is a pearl.
The breakfast was very good, including cereals, yogurt, fruits, juice, scramble eggs, breads etc. The decoration of hotel is very interesting with many books, pictures and stuff of original house. The better is the beautiful view of hills around.
The hotel is super neat, with a lot of interesting spots nicely decorated. The view of the mountains is beautiful! Breakfast is great! The rooms are cosy as well.
