It is an amazing quiet place in the mountain. I like visiting in the summer because of the views and hiking opportunities. I prefer staying in areas like Smolyan Lakes rather than the town or Pamporovo as I like to be far from people. There are a lot of hikes and places to visit (with car, short hikes and long ones). A lot of beautiful views.

It was not my first time in Smolyan but my first time coming...
It was not my first time in Smolyan but my first time coming here alone. I have been mostly in warmer months but I have enjoyed some nice weather as well - I managed to do some proper hiking - going to the Nevyastata area and to the Waterfalls Canyon, as well as exploring the Old Town and the New City center. I should confess that the length of the town is quite challenging even for a person who enjoys walking. I had to take a taxi to go to the Nevyastata but I walked back and it took me more than 2 hours. It was worth it though. I would definitely recommend the restaurant Bulgarche.

Smolyan is a beautiful mountain town in which friendly and helpful people live. Many cafes and restaurants with excellent cuisine. Clean air and great views. We are coming here for the third time, and I am sure that we will come here more than once.

Smolqn is a great city with kind and friendly people. Many cultural places to visit. The national gallery and the theater are awesome. The near by mountains offer many trail walking possibilities and great scenery.
The restaurant Rodopski Kut is very good.
If you have the chance go and see also the 600+ year old plane tree.
Great location for hiking to the Smolyan lakes. Tasty food - rich breakfast and the service in the restaurant was perfect. Comfortable bed. Beautiful scenery. Fresh air. The spa services were also perfect. The masseuse, the receptionist, and the 2 waitresses at the restaurant were very friendly and polite. Overall, despite the small inconveniences, we really enjoyed our stay.
I have been staying in Kyparis A for many years, the provided services are gettng better and better every time I pay a visit. The hotel is renovated lately and rooms are modernized. The price is value for money and the environment cozy and friendly. Real hospitality.
The room was so funky in a good way, the owner clearly had a certain vision in mind when decorating the place. Beds were comfy af, the room was warm even without the AC, bathroom was clean. The hotel has a parking lot and is right in the center of the city.
It was absolutely AMAZING to stay in the hotel! The owner is such a wonderful and generous man! He helped us so much! took us to one of the attractions and after to our next hotel in another village! We are so thankful! and hope to visit again!!!
