Beautiful location, if you like being surrounded by nature. Not much but few hotels around and a tiny shop 15 min away from the place. Nice, cozy, clean rooms. Small restaurant, most things were good, except the fish we got a couple of times cold and raw inside and the bread coming last instead of first 😀 Very small pool for no more than 4 5 people, two small saunas and a salty room. It’s alright if not packed. There is also a kids room! Helped entertain our 3 year old daughter, especially on Christmas Day when they had arranged a kids entertainer!
Most of the staff were friendly, some had attitude 🙃

It is a magical remote location situated in an amazing forest.Clean, fresh air and beautiful forest of tall pine trees.
Very well maintained and cute surroundings. It is not exactly a village but a remote location with few mountain hotels .Perfect for hiking to the Seven Rilla Lakes or other less difficult hikes.You need a car for sure but there are also buses from Sofia passing through.The lift is far for a walking distance .It is around 6.5 km from there.

Very friendly and helpful staff, great car parking, comfortable bed, good wifi, nice swimming pool (a little on the small side). Very good breakfast with a good choice of different options.
On the down side, no lift, no air-conditioning and a little deceptive to mention that the Rila Monastery was about 16km away...not CLEARLY mentioning that this is in a straight line. It is a one and a half hour drive..... 😔

Skakavica hut has a marevelous location. The path marking on the way needs imorovenent. The hut has started renovating the building, but has still a long way to go. The rooms and corridors are very old style. The service and guardians are nice though.

This family owned hotel is very charming. We decided to stay here because of its location next to the 7 lakes hike. It met our expectations for the conviennent location but also surprised us with an amazing customer service, a rich and tasty breakfast and restaurant for the evening. The price is really low for all the amnesties included ( jacuzzi and spa). There is also plenty of space for parking which is convenient. Overall, I’m really happy with my experience at villa ema and will come back for sure.
The breakfast was outstanding. A mix of Bulgarian & Western & was exceptional. The owner speaks perfect English & was chatty & proud of the amazing hotel he has built. The attention to detail was incredible. The young waiting staff were attentive & also spoke perfect English, the food was delicious & the owner even lit the petchka (log burner) to take away the chill (late August, lol) & more importantly to dry roast some complimentary peanuts for his guests. A lovely touch.
Hospitality and service were above any our expectations ❤️ Atmosphere, location and tasty food completed our impressions. Amazing place for rest and relax. I felt like gone here. Also hotel is located in a he forest and it takes only 3 minutes to dive into wilderness, which is especially valuable for megapolis-people like us. My best recommendations to this place
Modern, nice, cozy and perfectly organized hotel with a small but beautiful SPA area, in a great position in the Rila mountains, close to the Rila Lakes lift. Great breakfast, by far the best we had anywhere in Ucraine. We had a great stay there, even if only for one night, and will be happy to return.
