I've had some terrible experiences with best western and I would still put them at the bottom of my go to list. The Sofia Premier was exceptionally good with the exception of the food which was well below standard for the prices being charged.

I like the location, it is close to the metro station and Borisova Garden.
The staff are very polite and helpful.
The rooms are big and clean with amazing views.
I also enjoyed the spacious breakfast hall, including the decor, with some nice murals.
The view from the top restaurant is also stunning, especially during sunset, with views over the whole city and Vitosha Mountain.
There are few hotels with this nostalgic, retro ambience that are so well maintained and keep some of their original character.
