Gabrovo is a small town in the middle of nowhere in Bulgaria, that offers a lot of treats. Etar(a) and the museum of Humor and Satire may be the biggest ones for me. But the authenticity of this town as a basic real bulgarian city that still is untouched by tourism overkill is very important to me.
Not for partygoets, but culture and sightseeing for a week if that is your thing.
Mazalat / Osana is a beautiful mountain hike within a taxy rides reach. Etar(a), a cultural museum is awesome for anyone interested in handicrafts an culture.

Perfect location, in the heart of Gabrovo, it has everything you need for a short or long stay. The host was very polite, she helped us with information where to go and what to see in the city. We were very happy with the experience.
Hotel was as expected - renovated socialist hotel very near the center of Gabrovo. Reception was 24/7, we arrived after midnight and we had no problem with the check-in.
It was centrally located of the Gabrovo city. the hotel had good lunch options. This hotel was cheap - so if you need a place to stay it is good value.
