Everything! The place is located in a UNESCO protected heritage town, so although the price was high but the host and the property compensated for the price.
The host was warm and welcoming despite the language barrier. After a long day of travelling and sightseeing it was a pleasure to come back to the room for a good night's rest.
The host had taken care of thinking of every tiny details that someone on entry to the house (before one gets a chance to go to the town).

The Van der Valk at Oostkamp is ideal for those travelling from Calais / Folkstone and onward to central Europe. For us, it's the perfect distance from Sheffield on our way to Germany. It has wonderful facilities, a great restaurant and bar. It is a short distance (less than 250m) from the E40 and there are petrol (gas) stations nearby to fill up. Balconies on the upper storeys and terraces on the lower floors, are for those who like to get outside their room for fresh air. The very minor drawback is the constant sussurance from the traffic on the E40. We've stayed multiple times and shall stay there again.

The property is amazing. Very beautiful house and rooms. Everything has been well thought. The rooms are spacious and super clean. You have parking on the property and it is very close to Bruges ( about 10 mn drive ro thé centrum parking where we would park the car )
The owners are very nice & friendly. Special thought for the wife’s owner who made us some really yummy cakes ❤️

The rooms were really large and very comfortable. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. A great hotel that we would stay in again if visiting Bruges. We didn’t have much time so caught a cab into Bruges for €22
Fantastic cottage, perfectly equipped, very nice nature around and close to Brugge. Charging station for electric cars in front of the cottage. Super easy check-in and -out. Certainly will come back!
Tiny apartment but very cosy. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. With a 10 minute walk you have a bus line to Brugge and even at night it goes back.
