Location, location, location. its my 2nd time in Brussels and stayed closer to the Grand Place and it wasnt as nice. but the IBIS is more expensive.
IBIS is IBIS. stayed in one, stayed in all from my experience.
I did love the fresh squeezed OJ in the cafe. Everytime i go back to Europe, i try to treat myself to that daily or more.
Staff is always great at the ones i have used.

Appreciated that it was quiet. Staff always greeted us when we returned. Location was adequate. Liked that we could watch CNN and other English programs. Great that was non-smoking.

Was there to visit a clinic so didn’t get to see much, but first impression was there was not much there.. struggled to find anything to do and also not many restaurants or cafes where you can get breakfast.
I did like the cleanliness and the calmness.. houses there are all great and modern to look at and it was relatively easy to get around

Machelen has a tired and dejected air about it.
Machelen has a tired and dejected air about it. There looks like some work to improve its look may have been started but definitely work in progress. We wandered around the centre of the town and most of the shops and restaurants are closed. Found a couple of places open. The most memorable part of our stay is the constant noise from aircraft taking off from Brussels airport every few minutes drowning out any chance of conversation. I'm not surprised that restaurants are closed! It's very unlikely that we will want to stay again in Machelen.
