It matters, when you plan to visit, we could not roam around due to severe flood. But in winter you can enjoy many places, specially tea garden and Shada Pathor or Ratargul Swamp forest.
Sylhet is also a historical place, so get some idea before planning.

Sylhet is fantastic for nature lovers. It has got scenic beauty and a variety of landscapes. A one-week plan would be the best but 4 days can be tightly okay. Places recommended are Jaflong, Khashia Palli, Lalakhal, Bholagonj Shada Pathor, Ratargul, Parjatan Motel, Adventure Park, Malnichara Tea Estate, Shrine of Hazrat Shah Jalal (r), Khadimnagar Reserve Forest, Noorjahan Tea Garden, Baikka Beel, Sreemanagal Tea Garden, Lauwachhara Reserve Forest, Madhabkundo Waterfall, Old Bridge, etc. There are many eateries including Panshi and Panch Bhai.

As frequent traveller Grand Sylhet really exceeded my expectations with great facilities, dining and great customer service, the hotel staff went above and beyond and made us feel very welcome!
Also great location very close to airport and only 10 mins away from Sylhet central so you can easily do your shopping or eat out with great choice of restaurants in Sylhet.

The roti for breakfast was really good. Staff always looked after me and asked what I want. The hotel staff was really polite. I had arrived at early morning around 9am and they still let me check in. Also, I asked if I could check out around 3pm and they accepted. I will definitely stay this hotel again next time I visit Sylhet.
