Couldn't have breakfast , Couldn't shower , flush toilet or have drinking water as owner had cut off the water.
Good job there wasn't a fire otherwise wouldn't have been able to put it out.
I made a mistake and didn't realize that the place wasn't dog friendly , my partner and I was 120 kms from home and we were quite drunk from watching AFL grand final. Certainly Couldn't drive home. The owner expected us to leave drunk and we couldn't so he cut off water. Not good especially when it was $249.00 for 1 night. We were ripped off big time.

Large historic site with a 2 day pass is very interesting with many photo opportunities.
The 2 day pass also includes a 45 minute scenic ferry ride.
There is quite a bit of walking involved but you can do it at your own pace. There are some shuttles if you have some mobility issues

Port Arthur has a lot of history and is worth a visit.
Port Arthur has a lot of history and is worth a visit. As for The Fox and Hounds I’d swerve it as there is clearly no pride there and they are not promoting their product well at all. It’s one for Gordon Ramsey to get stuck into before it gets shut down. We left a day early due to its filthy unkept condition. We were contacted by the Fox and Hounds to ask why we left and told them. They apologised but offered no form of reimbursement. Why would they, they have my money. Id be embarrassed to work there knowing how bad it is. Has massive potential if the correct management run the place.

The actual Convict area is simply amazing as are the free talks that occurred during the day. We were not fully prepared for the lack of outlets for food, lack of super market, restaurants etc. The one good out let offered a range of take away food but not good!

The historic site is magnificent and well managed.
The historic site is magnificent and well managed. The general store is very disappointing, you should not rely on it if you are self catering
Gabriel's, the restaurant by the beach , was excellent I recommend it.
The restaurant at the Port Arthur motel featured poorly trained staff who seemed unaware of what service means. My girlfriend was served lukewarm seafood chowder with both the spoon and the garlic bread partially submerged. She asked for the chowder to be properly heated, this was seemingly done in a microwave. It was then returned with the same soggy bread.

Couldn't get into ghost tours or 1830 restaurant.. they were closed. Tried to get helicopter flight.. left message but never responded. Only 1 decent restaurant but the meals a bit light on considering price point and didn't seem to serve full meal. Loved the unzoo.

This is a great caravan park with super facilities
Our garden cabin was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The park is adjacent to Port Arthur historic site. Bring all your food with you as the nearest supermarkets are small and expensive with a limited range
The location is beautiful! And very close to Port Arthur, so great for visiting. The beds are very generous and comfortable. It is very nice waking up surrounded by forest and amazing watching the sunrise/sunset on the sand with the lapping of waves. The cabins are quite and private, hardly knew we had neighbors!
Its location to the Port Arthur historical site. Your room key opens the gate. We looked through all the buildings close to the visitors centre in the morning, then checked in and went back and visited the buildings at the back end.
Value for money. Cheapest place we stayed in Tasmania
Beautiful location with best views in Tasmania!! Rod showed us round his farm animals- highland cows, sheep and chooks and working dog. Really convenient to Port Arthur site and nearby restaurants. Comfortable cottage ❤️
