This was the best place on our road trip.
Let's start with Kate and Tom, so friendy and nice people. They greeted us from the car and showed us around. The place is stunning, and you feel that you are sleeping in nature. Lots of kangaroos, kookaburra, and wild birds.
Tom arranged for us a great bonfire. because it was Anzac day, we couldn't get marshmallows for the girls, Kate drove to Ararat and came back and surprised the girls with marshmallows. The place is very clean, the rooms and the kitchen.
We just loved it ❤️

A wonderful farm location. The weather was not so good but we enjoyed sitting next to the wood heater, looking out the large picture windows at the amazing scenery. The farm looks onto the Major Mitchell Plateau in the southern Grampians. It is a very relaxing place to stay.

The walking trails only a few kms from the property were very interesting with plenty of wallabies passing through and the original gold mine shafts to check out. Kangaroos and emus wandering around the property plus friendly cows, plenty of native birds and wildlife. Short scenic drive into Halls Gap for lunch and supplies. Dirt roads leading up to the property but still fine for regular 2wd cars. Cabin itself has a farm fence around it so great for keeping the young kids close by plus the huge verandah around the cabin made for a perfect outdoor space to watch the stars at night.
