Although small we enjoyed our private cabin accomodation for the night we stayed with it's little ensuite vs the other shared facilities options. It was quiet, convenient with a nice walk in the adjoining botanic gardens to The Mill (ShedShakers Taproom highly recommended). Seats with table out the back was a pleasant spot to sit, relax and some sample local wine overlooking the gardens (although there was not much to see through the trees).

Hi Albion Team,
Hi Albion Team,
Enjoyed my stay, only one gripe and that is regarding your tapwater, it is disgusting, so tea and coffee made with it also tastes disgusting. Highly recommend you provide Springwater for your guests to drink or make beverages with.
Best regards,
John.

We really liked Castlemaine - so much to do plus it has the good vibe of a functioning rural town! For anyone who doesn't do 'twee' this is a great town to visit.
The Botanic Gardens are worth a visit if you are into birds and flora or if you want a quiet stroll.
The nearby art markets are also worth a visit and as is the Shades Of Gray garden gallery.
We also enjoyed a ride on the steam train and the rail trail bike ride to Maldon.

Lovely old gold boom architecture, beautiful tree-lined streets (great in autumn).
Amazing bookshop.
The Mill (recently recycled industrial complex) is very well done with interesting and high quality specialist outlets (cheese, wine, smallgoods, etc.) and a great Viennese cafe (couldn't believe it!).

A pleasant country town with a lot of history.
A pleasant country town with a lot of history. Nice tree lined streets and old historic buildings. The road traffic through the town centre is a bit chaotic and too fast making it a bit tricky to cross at times. Some Nice coffee shops in town and the visitor information centre is worth a visit.

Very well considered accommodation. Very clean and thoughtful. Simple but attractive stay, that had everything we needed for staying several nights. Toiletries and Kitchenette were all that we needed to reheat meals, wash dishes and stay comfortable. On the outskirts of Castlemaine township, next to some cafes and across the road from a weekend market hall. Quiet, but not remote.
This is an old property that has had a facelift. It's nothing flash; it's just a good place for a bed and somewhere to base yourself while in Castlemaine. It's easy walking distance to the Main shopping and entertainment/eating streets. Typical parking for 1 car in front of the Unit. The Bed was good and clean, and the bathroom included a walk-in shower, hand basin and Toilet.
Exceptional property with great attention to detail. Everything was carefully selected to ensure a luxurious and relaxing stay. Stunning views, quality products and fixtures, great location. Owners were thoughtful and a delight to communicate with. Would absolutely recommend 52Views to anyone wanting a tranquil getaway in Castlemaine.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Northern Arts Hotel. The staff were really helpful, the place has a great vibe, the room was comfy, clean and the price was really reasonable.
