Hotel Vera Ballarat, hotel in Ballarat

Located in Ballarat, a 13-minute walk from Ballarat Train Station, Hotel Vera Ballarat has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant.

The excellent restoration of this magnificent Victorian building shows how clever and considerate are the owners. They have incorporated luxury comfort without losing the features of the building, and the modern extension to the property blends seamlessly. Throughout the place are cosy reading nooks and a marvellous and eclectic selection of fabulous books, art and memorabilia, placed always to enhance the sense of design. The owners are warm and friendly and add to the overall sense of welcome and serenity. The weekend continental breakfast was excellent. Overall we felt a sense of calm in this lovely place.

Just went to Art Gallery. Lovely people.

Just went to Art Gallery. Lovely people. On our way home from Horsham had to call in to Ballarat in an emergency situation as my traveling companion was having a mini stroke. Went to Information Centre and asked them to call an ambulance. The staff were lovely, helpful and caring. The ambulance paramedics were also amazing and my friend was assessed at the Information Centre and advised to stay o/n in Ballarat as a precaution. (Near an acute hospital.) So grateful.

Ballarat is a lovely place, there is lots to do and see. Easy to get around. Very touristy. I'll defently be going back to Ballarat again for a visit. loved sovereign hill, interesting shows how the folk lived in the past, would of been hard times for them.

A gorgeous town with so many grand historic buildings, a wonderful art gallery, and fantastic eateries and bars. The light is different in Ballarat. Highly recommended for an escape from the big smoke of Melbourne.

Ballarat is lovely, so much to see and do, it is very pretty in Winter and it's a wonderful setting for Christmas in July. sovereign hill is wonderful, the wildlife park is also great for families, Kryle castle needs modernizing and some more in financial investment, its ok but it could be better. other than that, it is great place.

We loved our little studio room, we had commitments in Ballarat so just needed somewhere to sleep, but loved this Hotel and the location was excellent, we are already planning a return trip where we can spend more time exploring the area. The Hotel has so much to offer as well; bar, restaurant. We discovered the balcony this morning it was a perfect place to share a coffee and danish from the bakery.

Beautiful old-style hotel, redecorated and furnished to enhance its heritage atmosphere. Wonderful high ceilings and spacious rooms. The staff were cheerful and very helpful and the location close to restaurants and the Ballarat Art Gallery was ideal. We loved the grand staircase and the quirky "heritage" lift. It's a hotel with personality, very different from an anonymous motel.

This was the cheapest place to stay in Ballarat for the night we needed a hotel so I was expecting something kind of dodgy. But Bakery Hill exceeded my expectations! It was clean, warm, modern and the beds were very comfy. Definitely recommend!

The day of the booking reception called and asked if we wanted a free upgrade to the guest house. I was with my family so it was perfect. Gave an AirBnB vibe. Lovely town house for no extra cost.
