Recommended highly: Ballarat Art Gallery (& their gallery store), Campanas Deli, for an amazing selection of wines and deli foods, on the corner of Armstrong and Mair. The Forge Pizza restaurant, and Miegas Spanish restaurant, both in Armstrong Street. If you are a book lover there is a beautiful old Victorian-era storefront, housing a Collins Bookstore, in Lydiard St, along from the Gallery. Oh - also in Lydiard, the Regent Cinema, recently saved from closure by Palace Cinemas - show them it was worth saving, and catch a movie there!

I grew up in Ballarat so there are heaps of things to do. Go to the Ballarat Botanical Gardens, Sovereign Hill, Myers central square shops, Ballarat Art Gallery. Walk up & down Sturt street Ballarat & visit all the statue's gardens, monuments, rotunda's. Visit the old & new cemeteries for plenty of history.

We have always loved Ballarat for the history and the buildings. My family members live in Melbourne and we live in Adelaide and take many trips a year to see each other. We will always stay at Craig,s from now on. Craig,s has now become our meeting place for every trip. We must say that your staff are extra friendly and so polite. Jackie was so helpful to us and nothing we asked of was to much trouble. We will be back OFTEN.
Kind Regards Sharronne and Pete.

The city has beautiful old style building showing off the opulence of a rich gold mining location. Lots of parks to keep kids entertained as well as the more specific tourist attractions. Lots of places to eat out. Easy to find you way around. A few places have paid parking but lots of free parking as well.

House on Drummond has made our trip to Ballarat perfect. It was so nice to come to a lovely home after having been out all day visiting what Ballarat has to offer. The location is optimal, the home itself has exceeded our expectations; very modern styling with touches of classic furnitures and comes with everything a family or group could possibly need while away from own home. The layout and inclusions were thought out well. I could not recommend this place highly enough.
The room is so big, feel relaxed and comfortable, nice and quiet. Strongly recommended. The staff, man and woman are very nice and friendly. If I go Ballarat again I’ll book that place again. The best experience ever of staying in hotel. Feel better than hotel i stayed in middle of Sydney
The hotel matched my expectations for a "cheap & cheerful" motel. It was quiet, easy to find & in close walking distance to good restaurants.
The reception on arrival & departure was cheerful, welcoming & friendly.
It was in great location. Up the road from sovereign hill and around corner from hotel which had great food. The house was old but reasonably comfortable
