First, staff NOT on site to give you a room key. Bar manager handed me a key & crossed me on. his list, so I thought "oh how thoughtful of him". So I decided to payback the kindness by buying bar food, only to have him come back and demand the room key back, saying that someone else was driving in soon and it was her key...Note: I had already paid, checked in w the "bar/room manager, and could have already been in the room (had I NOT decided to pat back the kindness) and spend more money on food to relax. He called the manager , but still took back the key at 9:00PM! Manager came and found another poor room. Although it is NOT on the beach, and is NOT a close "walk" to the beach, it IS a reasonable DRIVE to the beach.

Wonderful place to stay! We had booked a basic room, but were upgraded on arrival as there had been a cancellation. We would definitely choose the apartment next time, it was super comfortable and spacious, with everything we needed for a 2 night stay. Short walk to the town where we had a great choice of eating places - we can recommend the Lebanese restaurant! We would definitely return if we are ever in the area again!

We loved everything. Our stay was completely wonderful.
The staff were amazing - so friendly and helpful all of the time. All of the food was delicious (and breakfast was included). Spa was divine. Our villa was beautiful and perfectly equipped. The grounds were stunning.
We loved the setting amongst the trees. We ate at the Bistro which was very enjoyable and only a short walk from our room. Avoca Beach was only a short drive away. The beach was patrolled and being well used by the local surf club for training. Great for surfing.

My husband has limited mobility and uses a walker and was not able to walk to the room which so staff got a wheelchair to get him in. The footpaths are too narrow. The room was nice and had a balcony overlooking trees and cockatoos came and sat with me which was lovely.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa. The beds were very comfortable. The villa was very outdated but had everything we needed. Parking is on a very steep driveway and only experienced drivers can attempt this parking angle. No good for people with mobility issues.

The resort was well laid out on a forested hillside making one thing they were in tropical Queensland instead of 1 hour away from Sydney. The access to the hotel was a bonus and it was an easy drive to Avoca Beach.
I absolutely loved how tranquil this place is, the pool was so nice and peaceful. I would highly recommend a stay here. I didn't want to leave. I would definitely return. We had a nice little private seating area outside our room that looked out into the trees and wildlife. The rooms were comfortable and clean. There is a bowling club just outside the hotel where you get get some really nice food and a drink. The hotel has a lovely decking area for breakfast or you can sit inside.
Beautiful home and great location in Avoca Beach.
The house had great amenities for our group stay and use of BBQ was a bonus!
