This is a very old castle on the edge of the little lake with beautiful vintage charm. You almost feel like on the film set. Considering the building is very old, the rooms are comfortable. Quite spacious with many original features. Don’t expect super clean modern comfort but beds are a good size and comfortable. We loved old staircases and mysterious corridors.

Great location in a lovely place! Really nice views from the bedroom. Rooms were clean and the host was very nice and friendly :) we stayed for the Ironman and it is the first place we’ve stayed where the host provided breakfast from 4am for everyone competing in the race!

Room was excellent. Room kettle much appreciated. Lakeside Badehaus restaurant had excellent food and service. Hotel location excellent - on lake, near shops and local cafes. Good leisure facilities. It was very nice. We enjoyed it here very much. It’s an old castle with fascinating history. At first it was a bit scary, to sleep in a castle, but after a while we fell in love with it. It has some magic about it. We ate in pörtschach in a hawaian restaurant, tasty vegan food. We didn’t try the breakfast. At first look, I felt like running away. At the last one, I felt like I don’t want to leave. It was a unique experience. I’m happy that I experienced this.
For sure, if in one word: Extraordinary!
The location was excellent, with close proximity (by car) to the Wörthersee and private access to a smaller pond/lake directly in front of the hotel. The rooms are massive, comfortable and super clean. Furthermore, all of the staff were very friendly during our stay. The breakfast buffet was not extensive but offered everything we needed and exceeded my expectations, especially considering the cost.
This was the best hotel I have stayed at in years. The location is perfect. The staff were friendly and easy to understand. I would definitely stay here again!
An incredible experience, highly recommend over any hotel. So much more unique and so much history. The Schloss is so well preserved, will try to come again.
