Pension Bergkrista is a quaint comfortable property in Helingblut. We got a large room with a small kitchen ( which we didn't use) and what looked like a sauna! We could easily walk everywhere and the chair lift is right next door.
Breakfast was decent and the owner was delightful to chat with.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The place was very clean, and our kids were thrilled with the farm, which had cows, chickens, donkeys, and geese. They enjoyed feeding the animals, collecting eggs, and participating in the farm activities. The half-board option was great, with delicious meals every day. A special thanks to Yohana and Mr. Cristen for their warm and friendly approach to our kids.

The village and the surroundings are beautiful, good food in the restaurants. We missed a cafe open in the morning :).
The church and its surroundings are incredibly beautiful and well-kept: no wonder it is the symbol of the village.

If you ever go to visit Heiligenblut, please drive the Grossgluckner Hochalpenstrasse and visit the Kaiser Franz Josefs Hohe. Park your car and go find some murmeltieren. I had the best day of my life with some carrots and the friendly murmeltieren.

We did the road to view Grossglockner, and it is highly recommended! On the way from Zell am See, Heiligenblut was at the end of this road so it was a great place to finish the day and stay.
The village is small, but very pittoresque with great views!

Our second visit to Heiligenblut, perfect location for a short stay crossing Austria. The village is small, quiet and friendly, the views and sense of relaxation fantastic. Sure you can stay at more convenient places along the busy highways crossing Austria, staying here after a 10 hour drive and you feel recharged to continue the next day.
Of course if you stay longer then Heiligenblut has many things to do nearby, a great location as base camp for family trips in the summer.

It is a good place to visit because everybody could find something nice to do. They have a lot of places for kids, you can go hiking, or just walk around. It is a bus to the platform under Grossglockner or you can go with your car to enjoy wondeful views and nature. Of course at the winter there are a lot of places to ski. Go there you would not be sorry.
This stay was a most pleasant surprise! I could hardly believe the wonderful room we got. Everthing sparkling new, clean and freshly decorated. The room was big, and the bathroom too. The beds were very comfortable. The view was just magnificent, both from the bedroom and the breakfast room. The photos don't give justice to the rooms - they are much better in real life.
The breakfast was good and the host a lovely welcoming person. If you need somewhere to stay in Heiligenblut, I will warmly recommend Pension Sonnleitner!
The hotel is situated high up on the Grossglockner pass, it’s was an excellent stay, we enjoyed the views, evening meal, breakfast and the sauna and whirlpool. we would definitely recommend this hotel, the staff were all super friendly and very helpful. it was a shame it was foggy, but the weather changes very quickly at this altitude.
Everything was great. We arrived late at night and very tired so couldn't find the exact hotel location. But the owner came down and guide us to the hotel. It was an ideal location for skiing and a minute away to Grossglockner Alpine road. Breakfast was exceptional. We would highly recommend the place.
Very nice hotel.
Increadible views, flowers everywhere, clean, tidy and super delicious breakfast.
We really like our stay here and would return in case we visit Grossglockner pass again.
