Our Host, Barbara was perfect. Very helpful but also gave us space. She lives in the building as well….which was great when we had questions. Lovely scenic area. Nice, very clean apartment with everything you need.Bus goes 8ntotown and then down to Train station. Bus also goes North to Tegernsee, Germany. Lots of great hiking and biking options. A Supermarket is nearby and walkable in 10 minutes. Good value! Sound of music type scenery!

It’s a fabulous and beautiful town right on the shores of Achensee. It is very family friendly with a great playground for kids and ski school. There are possibilities for so many activities in both winter and summer in the area. Can’t wait to go back.
Great place to stay. We have been to Achensee many times and it is the perfect idyllic Alpine town. The Vaya resort is located right on the hiking routes and everything is modern and comfortable. We travelled with two young kids and two dogs, and the combination of having our own little house yet linked to a hotel was perfect.

Excellent facilities once you enter the Reiterhof you don’t need to leave the hotel till it’s time to go home.
