Igor and his wife were so welcoming. We tried some grapes and other fruit they grew on the property, also homemade wine and vodka. We had some great conversation with the help of google translate. One of the best nights we spent in Armenia!

Our family recently stayed at Gyughak Guesthouse in Armenia, and we can’t say enough about how wonderful the experience was. The place was very, very, very nice, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Armenia who is looking for a relaxing getaway. The cottages were lovely, set in a peaceful atmosphere where you can truly enjoy nature.
The breakfast was a highlight—there was a huge variety, and everything was delicious. We loved it as a family! The owner provided exceptional service, personally checking in with us to ensure everything was perfect and that we had everything we needed, which made us feel truly cared for.

I loved the location or the resort and I appreciated the friendly staff. The hotel restaurant was good but there are times when bus groups stop and have a meal so it is best to ask if you have a particular time you want to eat. I didn't have a problem because I didn't have a set agenda. I did not realize it would be so rainy but I still was able to get gorgeous autumn views and I really enjoyed the Wings of Tatev which weren't far but you need transportation - the hotel staff can help with that. Mostly, it was a great place to read.

Overall the trip to Halidzor from Yerevan is very pleasant. Yes, in some parts the road isn't good, but as soon as you pass "Zanger", the gates of Syunik province, the view gets amazing! And it's one of my favorite roads to ride in terms of the view ^_^
