This is a wonderful place the host Mathilda was lovely and accommodating.
The location is great and we don’t need to go anywhere to enjoy the beach and it’s a walking distance to the city center.

Great location in Sarande, within walking distance from shops, stores, bars and tavernas, but not in the middle of the crowded area, which was perfect for us. Our 3 bedroom apartment had a large terrace with an awesome view over the sea and Corfu island. The apartment was really nice, clean, comfy beds, AC in every bedroom and living room, it looks even better than in the pictures. There is an inner yard with a parking lot, which was a real blessing, since finding a parking spot in the streets is impossible and honestly not safe, considering the way people drive around there is pretty careless and chaotic. Although there aren't a lot of parking spots, the hosts will guide you and if the parking becomes too crowded and you'll have to block other cars, you can leave them the keys and they'll take care of untangling the situation. The host is very nice, helpful and fast responding, we communicated smoothly on Whatsapp for everything we needed. When we arrived, the AC in one of the rooms was not working and they came and fixed it right away, they helped us with ordering a taxi, they recommended places to go, really good and nice people.

Summer is the best time to be in Serande as most businesses will be open for business for you to explore the dishes.
Ensure you go for the boat tour and go with Lily tours, i recommend them because i used them and they are very friendly and fun.

Sarande is pretty vibrant city with a lot of restaurants, bars, cafeterias, tavernas etc. There is also couple of beaches, that might be bit overcrowded during the summer season. We were in Sarande at the beginning of September and there was still a lot of tourists compared to e.g. Ksamil, that seems to be a bit quieter.
As Sarande is popular holiday destination, there is a lot of restaurants and bars, everybody finds the one that suits him the best. We liked to go to Taverna Rrapo (very nice staff and delicious meals, variety of seafood) and Taverna Laberia, but I recommend to visit also local small bistros and restaurant and try Albanian food.
Once there, I recommend also to make a trip to Blue Eye and Butrint archeological site (UNESCO World Heritage Site), it's better to visit both early in the morning (till 9 am) to avoid a lot of tourist and high temperatures.

There's not a lot to around nearby, but you won't be bored...
There's not a lot to around nearby, but you won't be bored if you're willing to drive a bit further. Sarandë's beach is not worth going there for just that. There's a lot of cute beaches around, but probably inland you'll find more things to do/nature to explore. If you happen to be in Sarandë, check out Butrint and Ksamil, for sure!

Only stayed one night in Sarandë. Had a nice meal and drinks on the promenade. A lot of restaurants and shops. Lots to do and entertainment everywhere. Nice harbour with nice ships, some with cruise discos.

A place to be treated as a money cow. All beaches are private and you’ll have to pay for an umbrella if you want to stay. The city itself it’s not pretty, only the beaches are but still there is always loud music, every inch of the beaches are cover with umbrellas and beds, “owners” are very rude if you don’t wish to stay. The food is not great and there’s no hint of an urban planning. Also very expensive compared to other city’s of Albania

I would visit Saranda again and again and not get bored
The owner’s kindness and availability were super. He welcome me and he suggested me all the activities I could do in the city, from taking me to rent a motorbike to showing me the best beaches around. The room was very comfortable and the hotel is on the one of the streets with the best view spot in Saranda. The breakfast was large and contained both typical and international food. The hotel own also a beautiful restaurant with a very interesting and delicious menu. I will come back here for sure
I had a very pleasant stay at Oskar Hotel in Saranda where I was hosted from some great people that made me feel like home.
The hotel was very clean and the rooms had all the facilities that you might need. It was a family owned business, which made the experience even greater since they would show me around, tell me about the city and history of old city of Butrint and even more they were so friendly they even cooked some traditional albanian food for me.
Great hotel in Saranda! The room 408 was spacious, with high ceilings. The HK service was very professional, wet towels exchanged every day. The view from the balcony was amazing. The breakfast is good, although not great… I was missing a bit variety, every day the buffet was this same. The facilities are great, large swimming pool, bar open late.
This was the first time in Saranda and this hotel was the best choice. Breakfast was perfect, staff very friendly, rooms were very clear. Overall one of the best hotels I have ever been.
