Takamori
Located just 45 km from Suizenji Park, 南阿蘇で暮らすように泊まる1棟貸しコテージHokkoma provides accommodation in Takamori with access to a garden, a terrace, as well as room service. The air-conditioned accommodation is 35 km from Egao Kenko Stadium Kumamoto, and guests benefit from private parking available on site and free WiFi. The cottage was very comfortable, quiet, clean, and spacious. The kitchen was well appointed and if there was something we needed that wasn’t supplied we just had to ask Mayumi the owner.

Very cute cabin in the woods with great communication from property hosts to make sure all went smoothly. There was a fire already burning for us when we arrived.

The owner was very kind. I texted her a day earlier as it was snowing and we needed a taxi to go to Kuju ski center. And she booked for us! We were so thankful.

Amazing onsens (some outside), very relaxing atmosphere in the garden, perfect for a mountain retreat. There’s a free shuttle to Aso station and back every day.
• The location is good, there are so many good Sakura spots nearby, and it’s also close to the ASO mountain. People can enjoy the great pure countryside and relax. • The room is a wooden cabin which is big and clean, the host just renew the laboratory and shower room. •There is a shared kitchen, people can buying stuff from a supermarket which is close and cook by yourself.

The onsen is clean, and the view is good, especially the open air onsen at the top of the mountain. All the staff were very courteous and helpful. The room is very comfortable. The meals were fabulous and delicious. Mr Sato, the owner, was exceptionally helpful and humble. He provides free shuttle services to and fro from the bus stop to the ryokan.
Very pleasant owners, clean room, a great view from our cabin for sunrise and a really delicious home cooked breakfast!

It was just the best I’ve ever had. 1. Great onsen 2. Just amazing buffet dinner and buffet breakfast with a vast choice 3. At night on the rooftop stargazing in just unforgettable 4. Great service. Not a lot of staff speak English, but n4 Japanese was enough for effective communication. Each morning staff provides info of timetables of other onsens.that’s very convenient. 5. Free shuttle service Totally recommend
