What an amazing find! Some of our group of 8 wanted to enjoy shark cage diving and we came across Benguela and struck lucky. The whole atmosphere is one of relaxed sophistication, with beautiful and quirky decoration and artwork. The bedrooms lead out on to a pool area, which is quite intimate, but was not a problem as our group had taken the rooms. There is a stocked fridge in the room and the shower has plenty of power.
The real Gem of this place is Jonathan and his team. We opted to join for dinner which was the most amazing experience at the big, shared table. The experience started with gathering in the lounge for drinks and meeting the couple of other guests, then moving into the incredible dining room for a 5-course banquet, complete with paired wines. All the time being entertained by Jonathan and his very friendly hounds.
Breakfast the next day was of course both tasty and beautifully presented.
We had a couple of other requests. Like borrowing some towels and checking out later – all of which were kindly met with pleasure from our very accommodating host. We would be very happy to stay again…… you can book for the dinner even if you are not staying. Highly recommended.

We were only there for one night but the hosts were very friendly and helpful and went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable. The setting is in the heart of nature and would be spectacular in good weather but unfortunately the weather was cold, wet and windy when we were there so we didn’t see much of it.

Ali went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. So many little extra treats were provided for us and our dogs. The unit was well equipped and everything was thought of and provided. It was very private and the little garden area was perfect for our dogs.
We will definitely stay there again.

For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.
Great place to relax. Kids love the farm animals. Zara the goat wanted to come home with us. The house has everything you need. The fireplace inside is cozy and great for those winter nights. We will be back.
This was a utmost wonderful stay at Lonnie and Matilda,s beautiful, stylish chalet. We really enjoyed everything there, the interaction with the animals, the staff, the amazing tasty food en cakes. We recommend anyone to go and enjoy a perfect setting and remarkable stay. Love ❤

The property well equipped, especially during the loadshedding period. Rechargeable light bulbs given for each room, gas heater was provided, cabinet full of board games for entertainment. WIFI is working throughout with very good signal. It was cosy and nice. We enjoyed our Braai session. Appreciate the ease in communication with hosts via WhatsApp.
The property is large and is in a quiet residential area located near to the beach which was relaxing. Fully furnished as well so you don’t need to worry about dishes cutlery or entertainment. A lovely fireplace which kept us warm during the cold evenings.
Top location and surroundings. Outstanding architecture with nice finishes. Excellent equiped kitchen. We felt "at home" and would recommend the Romansbaai Twin Cabins.
