Find the capsule hotels that appeal to you the most
Looking for a capsule hotel?
Developed in Japan, these cheap 'pod' hotels are a novelty for any traveller. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodation is basic and intended to be overnight. There is separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms — some capsule hotels also have a sentō, a Japanese bath house, often for male guests only.
This hotel was in a great location. We had a room on the 17th floor directly opposite the swimming pool which was so convenient. Loved the rooftop terrace. Staff were very friendly.
Friendly, safe, comfy bed, room
is well appointed. Close to a metro stop and just a 20’ walk from the railway station.
Central and convenient position to visit Chicago.
Restaurant was convenient and friendly. Staff was helpful. Bottled water was available at front desk on the way out! North end of Michigan Ave. location; no street noise for inside room. Would stay again.
It’s really downtown. Most highlights a walkable, even to the train station. Also there are a lot of public transport possibilities nearby. Staff is friendly. Beds are long enough. My first night was at a top bunk bed, I was glad I could switch the next day to a bottom bunk. Great tut one can use the kitchen 24/7. It’s nice to cook your own meals.
The place is nice and budget friendly. I spent there a night during my trip to a conference in another city and was satisfied with the room and available kitchen amenities. My room as well as the common areas (kitchen, bathroom) was clean and comfortable. It is located in a nice neighborhood, not far from Lincoln park where I went for an evening walk.
Beautiful situated and close to trams and the lake. Friendly staff and vibrant feel.
But also bit worn down. Beds are to soft and uncomfy.
It was more a budget family place than a hostel with a lot of small children. Not a bad thing but not really what we were expecting.
Breakfast was humble but can get you on your way. No real healthy options. But there is a community kitchen and fridge to store some cheese or other things for breakkie
Chicago is expensive and this place was on the cheaper side so you cant expect golden halls
The staff was very nice.
The staff, Axel, who is fluent in Japanese, was very polite and friendly. This was the best staff I have ever stayed in a hotel. Close to the downtown core and cheap parking nearby.
