Find the capsule hotels that appeal to you the most
Looking for a capsule hotel?
Developed in Japan, these cheap 'pod' hotels are a novelty for any traveller. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodation is basic and intended to be overnight. There is separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms — some capsule hotels also have a sentō, a Japanese bath house, often for male guests only.
Basically there are 3 type of beds housed inside a dorm room. The cheapest is the double decker bed and the next is upper and lower bunk bed where you can have your own privacy with a curtain. The most expensive is a single bedroom all by yourself, but this is very cramped and felt so closeted, like staying in a secret access refuge room. The saving grace is the bathroom is within the dorm room.
And also the staff are all super friendly and helpful.
The location is really convenient, close to many exits of Taipei Main Station (within walking distance too). It's also close to a few bus stops, convenient stores, and supermarkets. Staff are super friendly and even though there's no breakfast provided, the pantry has lots of drinks available (+ the lobby has a drink vending machine too).
the place is clean, the staff is friendly, bunk beds are not making noises when climbing, the room has AC, and generally its a comfortable place to be in.
They also have a "vending machine" that has some handy stuff, and no, it is not overpriced.
The location is definitely convenient where near by ximen night market and shopping area. Don’t have to worry about starving, there were plenty of street food near by. Love how cute the capsule hotel look as well, it is functional and adorable.
• Clean
• Lots of storage space
• Bathroom was huge
• Japanese style toilet bidet (seat warmer etc)
• front desk staff were extremely helpful and friendly
• convenient location and a variety of food options available within the vicinity
A very cosy capsule hotel. Facilities are great and the bed is cosy. It's reminiscent of those japanese capsule hotels. Very worth the price. Location is amazing as it's located right at the heart of the Ximending district.
Everything was super clean and the the vibe theme was "earth friendly". This was the fist time I had seen this in a capsule hotel. Super convenient to main train station, subways and buses. I was easily able to get to a small park about an hour away to play pickleball with some locals, way out to Shiffen Falls and Old Street as well as Taipei 101.
Unbeatable easy-going solution for the price if you want to have something better than a bunk bed but still on a budget. My sleeping pod/capsule was very spacious and clean, with enough space to keep all my stuff, plugs, and a reading light. The staff was nice and responsive and easily arranged for me to check in after hours and to keep the luggage on the checkout day.
Perfect location (nearest exit to Taoyuan MRT) and within walking distance to other public transport hubs.
Most comfortable bunk bed situation hostel I’ve ever stayed in. Felt more like a capsule hotel than a hostel and the staff are so friendly, welcoming and considerate. I will for sure consider staying here again if I am back to Taipei.
