Find the capsule hotels that appeal to you the most
Looking for a capsule hotel?
Developed in Japan, these cheap “pod” hotels are a novelty for any traveler. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodations are basic and intended to be overnight. There's separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms. Some capsule hotels also have a sentō – a Japanese bath house, usually for male guests only.
Convenient location near many attractions and walkable from the train station. Friendly staff. Breakfast available. The social room was usually social. You can stand in your capsule.
Absolutely the best of Japanese hospitality. The traditional room is huge, clean, and nice decorated. The owners are supernice, friendly, and helpful. It's actually their home transformed into nice budget ryokan. They even gave me a small handmade present when saying goodbye, which was so touching.
The location is great, very close to the famous old district. Three local sentos (public baths) are just behind the corner. 10 minutes to a big supermarket. Everything is perfect, thank you.
The location is really good. It’s less than 5 min walk to the bus stop. The design of the hotel and rooms were very contemporary. We stayed in the bunk bed room. There’s coin operated washer and dryer on our floor and it’s really convenient.
Staffs are very friendly and speak English really well. One of them even recommended a really good restaurant to us.
Clean, spacious room. Booked the corner room with a washing machine which was very convenient. Great location next to the station. Good sound proofing, couldn't hear the trains or noise from the street
Friendly staff
The property was very clean. I liked that the sleeping pods were gender segregated and that you need a wrist band to access the sleeping pods. The sleeping area was very quiet. This was my first experience of a capsule hotel and I felt safe and comfortable staying here.
Location:
Just 5-10 minutes walk from Kanazawa Station.
Room:
Comfortable beds. TV showing crowdedness of public bath and breakfast restaurant was convenient.
Breakfast:
Good variety of both Japanese and western cuisines (with sashimi) at breakfast (06:30-10:00). Best breakfast in this trip.
Staff:
Very helpful and friendly staff who helped me call a local restaurant to make a reservation. Thanks again.
For one person, it was great and very roomy. Nice to have a washing machine and drying rack on site. Close to downtown with great earing choices and close to all tourist sites. Great having fridge and small kitchen there. It's an mini apartment and very convenient and a nice change from capsule hotels.
The pod hotel is quite convenient as it is nicely situated in Kanazawa. It gives direct access to most touristic spots on foot in under a 30min walk for the farthest ones.
The onsen/sauna was a great plus.
I stayed in a premium pod which means I had a little space on the side of the bed with a table and a fridge. It was possible to lock my luggages in the drawer under the bed. However be aware it is not that big.
It is a nice value for money if you travel on a budget.
I really loved staying here because it was conveniently located to all the major attractions, about 20-30 mins away by walk! The staff were super friendly and approachable. the facilities were clean and I’m glad that there’s a section whereby you can put your luggage so you can easily pull out your luggage when you need something rather than having to take the elevator to go to the locker room, like many capsule hotels. I highly recommend!
