Looking for a capsule hotel?
Developed in Japan, these cheap 'pod' hotels are a novelty for any traveller. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodation is basic and intended to be overnight. There is separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms — some capsule hotels also have a sentō, a Japanese bath house, often for male guests only.

The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, the location was a short walk from Hirosaki Park (took amazing cherry blossom photos), the room was in traditional japanese style allowing a very authentic experience and for a hostel, it was very comfortable.

Staff were friendly, and spoke a bit of English. They accommodated my request to receive an Amazon delivery for me while I went out sightseeing. The room was pretty clean, and slightly cramped, but that's the norm for a business hotel. The onsen is pretty accessible, and although it's not a true onsen, it serves its purpose well. The hotel's location is extremely convenient, sandwiching a bus terminal together with the JR Hirosaki station.

Breakfast was amazing, best yet! Hirosaki is prime apple growing area and was good to see these included in the many breakfast dishes on offer. Apple curry followed by apple ice cream, my new morning favourite. Lots of Western and Japanese dishes. Omelettes made to order. Breakfast staff very helpful and friendly. Location great, very near to station. I requested a quiet room, given a room on 11th floor and really was quiet. Didn’t hear anything. Beds and pillows very comfy, bathroom was good size, with lovely toiletries.

Very near the train and bus stations. Easy to drop off bags for storage before check-in and the check-in itself was smooth. Friendly staff - there was an elderly couple with limited English but plenty of smiles. Everything was clean and the capsule bed space was spacious. Small lockers for valuables available. The kitchen is small and functional. Complimentary filter machine coffee was good. Washing machine 100 yen and Dryer 100 yen.

The staff was incredible friendly, and the room was big (for Japanese circumstances) and quiet(!). There was an onsen in the building, and the breakfast buffet was great - especially if you like karage! Also, there was a coffee-to-go machine in the lobby for anyone that had to skip breakfast (like me). And free newspapers in Japanese and English.

Exceptional cleanliness. The whole building seems to be very new. Furthermore the staff was very professional and the whole concept of the hostel is good, e.g. there is a place to leave luggage after check-out. Also the privacy is high for hostel standards, it resembles a capsule hotel.

Really close to the train station and the double bed was nice and big and the capsule hotel style made the stay convenient. The facility was clean and the washing machine was free to use as well. Really recommend for anyone that wants to explore hirosaki and Aomori (and anywhere nearby) who wants something convenient and affordable but for great value and comfortable.

The hostel is easy to access from Hirosaki station and the staff were friendly upon arrival and tried their best with my limited Japanese. The bedroom capsule and facilities were clean. The laundry facilities were also free which was a nice suprise! Over all I enjoyed my stay here.
