Find the capsule hotels that appeal to you the most
Looking for a capsule hotel?
Developed in Japan, these cheap “pod” hotels are a novelty for any traveler. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodations are basic and intended to be overnight. There's separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms. Some capsule hotels also have a sentō – a Japanese bath house, usually for male guests only.
The hotel is conveniently close to the train station but also has some parking available just underneath. You do have to pay and the spaces are limited but we found it handy.
The room was beautifully decorated which we appreciated even if the hotel is a “budget” option. Our room had a window to the back which had a great view and no noise came in.
We even made use of the small gym and the staff was always helpful and friendly.
Would definitely recommend it for a quick and convenient stay.
Great value and practical hotel with budget travellers in mind (e.g. kitchen for residents, cheap pizza meal in bar, great value breakfast buffet). Quiet location, comfortable beds, good bathroom. Lockers in room ( bring your own padlocks). Really friendly and helpful staff.
Nice budget hotel. Very convenient when stopping at Bordeaux. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Rodrigo, the receptionist who checked us in.
Lovely room in a four-bed female-only dorm. Comfy and private bed with curtain for added privacy. Bathroom clean and convenient. Great location in the city centre, a two minute walk from the nearest tram stop. Very friendly and welcoming staff.
Look you get what you pay for, this is a budget (cheap) hotel and as a result you cant expect too much. The rooms were clean but basic, pillows are terrible, we bought a few better ones in a local supermarket (we were staying for 5 nights so it was worth it). There was a bad smell in one of the rooms we had but they agreed to move us no problems at all. Breakfast was basic but good also. The kids loved the bunk bed style rooms..
