Find the capsule hotels that appeal to you the most
Looking for a capsule hotel?
Developed in Japan, these cheap “pod” hotels are a novelty for any traveler. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodations are basic and intended to be overnight. There's separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms. Some capsule hotels also have a sentō – a Japanese bath house, usually for male guests only.
My wife and I particularly appreciated the staff. They were all friendly and enthusiastic about providing us the very best service possible. Hismar Gonzalez has our special thanks for going out of her way to help us; in her, Hotel Mackenna has an outstanding employee.
This simple private room is located near a few restaurants and also a supermarket is just about 10 minutes walking away. I had a simple and clean two-single bed-room with attached bathroom, TV and fast internet. The owner Roberto is very friendly and served an excellent breakfast. Also is the possibility given for save parking the motorcycle just around the block.
The place was a convenient stop over and that was all. We had warm water, decent washing facilities, a clean room and linen. It's all we were after. Chile is expensive and it is difficult to ratd its value for money. What we needed was a stop over go break the journey and safe parking which we had. The place would onve have been very interesting architecturally.
Helpful staff, the reception lady as very friendly and supportive, WiFi was fast, kitchen well equipped, free tea, coffee and water, close to the bus station but in a quiet area
Central location
Very Friendly staff (bar evening + city walk on check out day)
Comfortable check out time at noon instead of the 10am common of many places
Breakfast was nice (reasonably priced extra cost)
Convenient location near the bus terminal and plaza de armas. Quite a few eateries and bars nearby to enjoy. The room was very large and the staff were really friendly and helpful. All in all a pleasant stay! We stayed here as a base while waiting to transfer to Bariloche and also hired a car to drive to the thermal pools.
