Developed in Japan, these cheap “pod” hotels are a novelty for any traveler. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodations are basic and intended to be overnight. There's separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms. Some capsule hotels also have a sentō – a Japanese bath house, usually for male guests only.
This hotel is extremely convenient, just a short five-minute walk from Basel Station. The check-in lady was very friendly and welcoming. Rooms are spacious and bright.
The hotel boasts a great location, conveniently close to the city center, making it easy to explore the main attractions. The parking facilities are excellent, ensuring a hassle-free experience for guests with cars. The room was comfortable and contemporary, offering a pleasant environment for relaxation. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful; the bartender was particularly delightful, always smiling and easy to chat with. Additionally, everyone spoke excellent English, which made communication smooth and enjoyable.
We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is conveniently close to the train station, making our travels hassle-free. We were delighted with a room upgrade, which was very nice and added to our comfort.

It is a budget friendly hotel near the central train station! It is very convenient if you plan to travel to Colmar or Strasbourg and catch the bus for the airport. Since travelling with local transport is free around Basel with your Basel card then everything is within access since all trams and buses start/finish at the central station. The Basel card was on my desk by entering the room, which was very convenient. Cleaning was ok.
Staff is friendly and helpful. Location is also good. Really enjoyed the breakfast.
They also have coffee vending machine and nice seating area by the reception.
24 Hour check-in and Basel card is quite useful.
Rooms are of-course compact as it is a budget hotel.
It was clean, super location close to central station yet close to parkland as well, quite a feat really! Although a little noisy due to nature of offering (to be fair, marketed towards youth) the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, lent me a phone charger, made a great coffee and had great advice for places to visit. I was upgraded from a capsule to a basic bedroom, I didn’t have the heart to tell them that I only booked a capsule because a capsule hotel is on my bucket list… I will have to come back
This is the second time I stay here, and I will stay here everytime I come to Basel. Everything was perfect as always, friendly staff, beautiful capsule, comfy bed, convenient location. I really enjoyed my stay <3
The hotel/hostel was very convenient for my visit as I travelled by train and it is located very close to the station. It was also very good value for money for Basel and while the capsules were small, the beds were comfortable and the bathrooms and seating areas were very nice and spacious. The staff were also all very helpful and friendly.
The staff was really helpful and friendly. Location is convenient and there are a few tram stops right outside, but you can walk everywhere from there very easily. Breakfast times are just perfect.
The extra perks are a really nice touch: free public transport and complementary minibar.
