Find the capsule hotels that appeal to you the most
Looking for a capsule hotel?
Developed in Japan, these cheap “pod” hotels are a novelty for any traveler. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodations are basic and intended to be overnight. There's separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms. Some capsule hotels also have a sentō – a Japanese bath house, usually for male guests only.
Nice and helpful owner, very friendly place.
There is a small fridge with water and a flat screen TV in the room. The bed is ok and I slept well. The kitchen is also ok and has all the necessary equipment for a self-catering stay.
The shower and toilet were clean, although I would suggest a little investment to modernise them. For example, a small sink in the separate toilet. And maybe a newer little vending machine with some crackers and drinks and a card payment option?
Nevertheless, I would recommend this family site.
Location was perfect, room comfortable and larger than expected. Friendly reception. Cost was $40 p/n cheaper than a place I usually stay at so this won't be my last visit.
Rooms were recently renovated and very clean and fresh.
Bed was super comfy and room nice and dark for a sleep in.
Staff were friendly.
We were seeing a concert at the hotel so very convenient for this.
The hotel is very old but it was what we expected for the price we paid for 4 nights , The room was clean , comfortable bed , aircon and cold fridge , All the staff were very friendly and hospitable , the food was great value, cheap drinks , lovely beer gardens , 1 bloke walk from The Strand boulevard walk , will stay again if back it town
Affordable accommodation close to the centre of Townsville, ideal for those traveling on a budget who don't want to stay in a dorm.
Very helpful and friendly staff (they let me check-in early).
The rooms are simple but convenient and quiet. I didn't need more than a good bed and some space for my belongings.
