The drive there along a gravel road give the best views of Mt Cook that you will see. Kitchen modern and stocked like home Lovely meeting Alana and hearing about life on the farm and bringing up a family.. Wonderful.. Not to be missed.

Outdoor seating is also available at the campground. The House Truck itself is wonderfully quirky with lots of interessting details and features - especially the outdoor hottub. We spend an entire evening stargazing in it. Nat and Grant are great hosts. The breakfast was fabulous and we got lots of helpful information. In combination with the location in what felt like the middle of nowhere, it truly was like a whole nother world.

Great location. Very clean and tidy. So nice to sit on the balcony and watch the waves on the beach and the sunset!
Great location, a short walk to the beach, and 30-45 minutes walk to another beach and a park. An easy walk to town if you like walking, or a $25 taxi ride home if you are eating out. There are many eating places close by, and many more in town. Everything you could want is within a 15 minute drive. Very clean, and comfortable.
Jill was there to greet us when we arrived and showed us the room. Everything was exactly as we expected and more! The apartment was beautifully done up, very clean and had everything we need. Had a lovely walk along the beach 5 mins away to enjoy the beautiful sunset. Really can't be missed...
Great location opposite the beach. Our room was very clean and comfortable for our 2-night stay. The bathroom appeared to be renovated recently. Our hosts, Luke and Kylie, were very welcoming and helpful. The included continental breakfast was fresh and perfectly suitable for us as we are not big breakfast eaters. Our room, which was located facing the road, was very quiet. I'm not sure if the room at the back of the property would be a better option during busy times.
Friendly staff, room size was great, loved they had a restaurant internally to go too. The room was very clean, and the area was quiet. Short walk to the beach.

Great place to stay really quiet and short walking distance to the beach, restaurant and supermarket. Very comfortable spacious warm and very clean rooms. Only a five minute drive to to Kaikoura main street. Would recommend staying there again.
I loved that it was a smaller camp ground that was quite and pleasant. Owner/manager went above and beyond when he gave me milk from his own fridge as I hadn’t thought to bring some. The cabin was perfect for our family, lovely and warm with a wall heater. Even had a kettle and fridge for making drinks. Toilets and showers were right across from cabin. The bonus was seeing sea lions at the very edge of the campground/beach. There was no cell signal but free wifi was included so all our family members were happy. Cabin A was A++++.
great central location to all facilities in town. short walk to the beach. the owners were very friendly and helpful. Bathroom is inside building and very clean and accessible with lovely shower and toilet. lovely gardens to sit in and barbecue to use if you wanted.
